The origins of Epic Adventures can be traced back to Joe and Charlie's days as college roommates at the University of New Hampshire.  It all started with two simple words.  "Dawn Patrol!"

The thought of being in the ocean as the sun rose was completely foreign to Charlie at the time. Joe being a Jersey boy, introduced Charlie, the Wisconsin Cheese Head, to surfing and before long the two could be spotted in the water almost every day.  While catching waves didn't come easily to Charlie, it didn't take long for him to fall in love with the rush he got from the time he put on his wetsuit to his last ride of the day.  It was magnetic.  Charlie’s favorite memory of these experiences is when Joe somehow convinced him to go surfing in February.

”We ran through a foot of snow to get to the water, which actually felt warm compared to the 10 degree air temperature....it was pretty much the most miserable and invigorating hour of my life!"

Joe still smirks and chuckles to himself every time Charlie retells the story.

"The waves were good that day, and I didn't want to miss it..."

After college Joe and Charlie went their separate ways in search of whatever it is a college grad is trying to find.  For Joe, it was a Wall Street job with Citigroup where he quickly rose through the ranks to a Vice President in their Investment Banking Division.  For Charlie, it was a job at Oyster River High School in the Special Education Department.  Two totally different jobs, and one remarkably similar passion.  Every minute outside of work was spent gearing up for the next adventure, and before long they found that many others - friends with no prior experience - wanted to tag along!  One too many evenings had spent listening to Joe and Charlie talk about their travels and the moments that made them so epic. Now they wanted to experience for themselves.

It was during these expeditions when the duo found their true, epic moment.  It wasn't about them anymore.  Instead, it was the joy they felt to watch someone take a leap of faith outside of their comfort zone and achieve something they never before thought possible.  It was about allowing others to claim that same moment that Joe and Charlie had spoken about time and time again, and to share it with them.  It was this appetite, coupled with hard work and a drive for excellence that convinced them to follow their true passion.  And thus, Epic Adventures was formed!
